Warning: Spoilers Ahead
We’re down to the final 3 episodes, and this is about the time when all the fans start getting worried about their favorite characters. It’s even worse with Bitten because it’s the final season, and so, basically any character could go at any time. This is exactly why the final moments of last week’s episode scared the crap of me. Nick (Steve Lund) and Katia are run off the road, and the episode ends with both of them unconscious and 2 Russians approaching the wreckage. Yikes!
Fortunately, in this week’s episode, we aren’t left hanging too long and learn their fates pretty quickly. But, unfortunately, I can’t spill the details, and so, you’ll just have to watch.
Another great thing about this episode is we learn how in the hell that Albino seems to be able to be in 2 places at once and always 3 steps ahead of the Pack. It’s totally unexpected but at the same time, makes complete sense. The downside to the reveal is that it will only make Elena (Laura Vandervoort), Clay (Greyston Holt) and Nick’s job harder to keep the threat from the Albino at bay while Jeremy (Grey Bryk) works out a plan to kill Roman and end this entire thing once and for all.
And, lastly, there’s a great deal of foreshadowing in this episode that really made my heart sink, and it all goes back to what I said about losing beloved characters towards the end of a show’s run. Even when a series is about to end and you fully realize you aren’t going to see these characters again, you still have an instinct to want your favorite to live. The series may have ended, but somehow if this character that you’ve connected with for the past several years manages to survive, then there’s a feeling that the show still lives on. I won’t say which character I’m talking about (yet), but the writing is all over the wall in this episode that my personal favorite may meet his/her demise by the end of the season. I will talk more about this in my recap of the episode tomorrow night, but let’s just say there’s a good chance a lot of fans may be crying after the season finale in a couple of weeks.
Episode 3.08 of Bitten is titled “Tili Tili Bom” and airs Monday at 11/10c on Syfy.
