For those who have seen my earlier posts this week, you know that I spent this past weekend at Walker Stalker Con Chicago 2016, and was fortunate enough to be able to chat with some of the Z Nation cast (yes, I know, I have such a cool life!).  I have already shared my exclusive interview with series star Anastasia Baranova who was kind enough to provide us with a few teasers on what to expect in season 3, and if you missed it, you can check it out by clicking here.

However, besides Baranova, I also had the opportunity to spend some time with Pisay Pao  AKA “Cassandra,” who we may recall met a very unfortunate end in the first half of season 2 and at the hand of her assumed love interest, 10K (Nat Zang). And, while Pao may no longer be part of the main cast, she still had lots of goodies to share including the shocking way she was informed of Cassandra’s fate, the writers’ original intent on the Cassandra and 10K relationship, and just some really cool anecdotes as she reflects on the year and a half she spent working on one of the funnest shows on television. Now, there are a couple of additional details I can provide but that I couldn’t ask Pisay specifically about because she wasn’t at liberty to talk about them. But, fortunately for all of us, a couple of other cast members had loose tongues at the Z Nation panel, and let slip a couple of good teasers for season 3. As Anastasia mentioned in her interview, season 3 will begin with a 2-hour flashback “movie” and will provide us with the details of how our group first crossed paths with the character who will ultimately be the new baddie of the season. However, what Anastasia didn’t say is that the flashbacks will come from the season 2 time period — that is, we won’t be going back in time pre-apocalypse. But, the juicy part is that Cassandra will be a part of these flashbacks! Yes, everyone, Pisay Pao will be back for at least the first couple of episodes in season 3, and given that Cassandra has always been one of my favs, I couldn’t be more thrilled. Yay. Yay. Yay!

Now, are you really  excited? I know I certainly am! A new baddie, a 2-hour “movie” season premiere, and now, Cassandra making a comeback. September can’t get here quick enough!
