Warning: Major Spoilers Ahead
Last week, the outbreak began spiraling out of control with newly-turned strigoi hitting the streets of Manhattan and causing widespread panic and hysteria. This prompts Setrakian to come up with a new plan of attack, which we learn is to use Jim Kent as bait in an attempt to lure the Master out of hiding.
In the meantime, we are treated to more Setrakian/Eichhorst flashbacks, where we discover that Eichhorst was just as monstrous back then before he was infected and turned.
And the moment that fans of The Strain trilogy have been waiting for finally arrives with the introduction of fan favorite, Mr. Quinlan (Stephen McHattie, Haven). Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan had promised that when Quinlan was introduced, he would make a big entrance. And boy, that certainly was an understatement. He doesn’t appear until the end, but make no mistake, those last few minutes are the best, most action-packed of the entire episode.
