Warning: Spoilers Ahead
The end of last week’s episode confirmed what many viewers (myself included) had already suspected — that Tom (Ryan Eggold) is very much alive and is being held prisoner by Liz (Megan Boone). With the exception of her trying to pry information about her past and her connection to Red (James Spader), it is still unclear as to what Liz’s motivations truly are. Although Monday’s episode does provide some clues to that.
In tomorrow’s episode, when an Iranian nuclear scientist is suspiciously assassinated, a revenge ploy begins against a valued American. Red informs agents Keen and Navabi (Mozhan Marno) that a dangerously conniving hitman “The Scimitar” (guest star Waleed F. Zuaiter, Revolution) has been sent to do the job. Liz and Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) find themselves in a tricky predicament as they investigate a surveillance lead. And, Agent Keen attempts to gather information on Berlin (Peter Stormare), while Red finds company with a woman working at a food truck — the same woman Red has been told is his long-lost daughter, Zoe Dantonio (Scottie Thompson).
Episode 2.07 of The Blacklist is titled “The Scimitar” and airs Monday at 10/9c on NBC.
