If you’re like me right now, I’m watching the Helix “Black Goo Friday” marathon and am getting even more psyched for season 2. Fortunately, Syfy has released 2 additional video sneak peeks that give us a glimpse of what to expect when the series returns in January.
The first video is a series of cast interviews where they discuss their characters, where they have been, and how the characters will evolve going into the new season.
The second video provides a behind-the-scenes look of the series production while on location. While season 1 was done almost entirely in the studio, the new season’s landscape is going to be totally different with most of the filming being done in the outdoors.
The last video is the new season 2 sneak peek just released during today’s “Black Goo Friday” marathon.
Helix centers on a team of scientists from the Centers for Disease Control who travel to the high-tech research facility, Arctic Biosystems, to investigate a possible disease outbreak, only to find themselves pulled into a terrifying life-and-death struggle that may hold the key to mankind’s salvation or total annihilation. However, the lethal threat is just the tip of the iceberg, and as the virus evolves, the chilling truth begins to unravel.
Helix Season 2 premieres Friday, Jan. 16 at 10/9c, leading out of the 12 Monkeys series premiere.
