Warning: General spoilers ahead
If last week’s season 2 premiere was about Ava (Elaine Hendrix) having that “Oh, crap, I’m 45!” moment, then this week’s episode is where she freaks a bit and decides to do something — ANYTHING — to feel that spark again. And, while we’re at it, let’s bring Gigi (Elizabeth Gillies) down too and convince her “to live the life” before, heaven forbid, she turns 25. Basically, these girls are having a mid-life sex crisis, and how they cope with their “problem” ends up being 30 minutes of effin’ hilarious TV.
For Ava, the solution is simple — she needs a change, and that change equates to having a threesome, just like in the good ‘ol days. But, finding the perfect girl for the tryst is a little more tricky because, hey, she obviously can’t look better than Ava. That means over 45, smaller tits, bigger ass.
Now, for Gigi, a threesome really isn’t her thing, but a lesbian fling? Sure, why not. Even Flash (John Corbett) is totally into it and finds Gigi a really hot girl-toy, Davvy (guest star Rebecca Naomi Jones), who also happens to be a singer too.
So, does everything turn out how Ava and Gigi planned? Not exactly, but trust me, it’s still a riot to watch it all unfold.
Episode 2.02 of Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll is titled “Rebel, Rebel” and airs Thursday at 10/9c on FX.
