Warning: Spoilers Ahead
Man, what a brutal episode last week! Pazzi may have gotten the worse of it with bowels in, bowels out and then, hurled out of a window, but Hannibal definitely came in a close second. It really makes me wonder if Hannibal had ever met someone like Jack Crawford before. Regardless, it does appear that Dr. Lecter has finally met his match, but it remains to be seen if Jack can keep control and do what he should — apprehend Hannibal and bring him to justice, as opposed to killing him out of anger and revenge like the rest of Dr. Lecter’s victims so desperately want to do.
In this week’s episode, Will and Jack cross paths once again in Florence, but with Will’s judgement potentially clouded, can Jack trust Will enough to work with him? Here is NBC’s official synopsis for the episode.
Official Synopsis — “Sensing their time in Florence is coming to an end, Bedelia Du Maurier (Gillian Anderson) and Hannibal (Mads Mikkelsen) consider their parting as Hannibal plans for his final stand. Meanwhile, Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) and Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne) reunite, but Jack remains uncertain about Will’s true loyalty. Back in the States, Mason Verger (guest star Joe Anderson) hungrily makes plans for Hannibal’s capture, while Alana Bloom (Caroline Dhavernas) and Margot Verger (guest star Katharine Isabelle) makes plans of their own for Mason. Tao Okamoto also stars. Fortunato Cerlino and Glenn Fleshler guest star.”
Episode 3.06 of Hannibal is titled “Dolce” and airs Thursday at 10/9c on NBC.
