Warning: Spoilers Ahead
With Jace Corso’s identical brother, clone, or whatever he is showing up last week, it’s a safe bet that tomorrow’s episode is probably going to be pretty damn good. And, in fact, I can honestly say that it’s not just good but great. I have screened the episode, and trust me when I say it’s the best episode of the season thus far.
I don’t want to spoil anything because you *really* need to watch this one live, but here are a few teasers of what to expect:
1. Yes, as you can see in the below sneak peek, the Jace Corso we saw at the end of last week’s episode does cross paths with this copy/clone, and we do learn a little bit about the events leading up to the Raza and its crew taking the mission to wipe out the miners. But, unfortunately, we still don’t have any real answers as to the who, how, or why everyone on the ship has lost their memories.
2. One isn’t the only person who learns something shocking about himself on their visit to the space station. Both Two and Five discover some equally surprising things, with the revelation about Two being quite unsettling especially to Five.
3. Four doesn’t get much screen time in this episode, but the little time that he does get is well-spent. He goes only briefly on the space station and that’s so he can do some research on the ring he found in the box. But, just like what Two learned about herself, what Four discovers about the ring and its connection to him is just as disturbing.
4. Three continues to be the comic relief in the series, and it’s especially true in this episode. His brand of humor is pretty crude at times, but I must admit that I really like it (does that make me crude and crass as well? Oh well!). Regardless, Anthony Lemke does an amazing job as Three in this episode, and in my opinion, is one of the best things going for this series.
5. Two pairs One and Three together for a job on the space station, and while they have always been at odds since day 1, by the end of the hour, they have called a truce. No, folks, I’m not lying! And, no, I’m not going to spoil it for you, so you’ll just have to watch. HINT: Something Three does has a lot to do with it, and by the end of the episode, you’ll either love him or absolutely hate him. As for me, still love him to bits!
“Episode Four” of Dark Matter airs Friday at 10/9c on Syfy.
