In this week’s episode, an erratic patient comes to the emergency department claiming that his heart is pounding inside his head and takes drastic measures to stop it, leaving Dr. Choi (Brian Tee) and Dr. Charles (Oliver Platt) to figure out the best course of action. Dr. Manning (Torrey DeVitto) works on a young boy with a broken wrist, but her suspicions abound when the facts don’t add up, prompting her to report the situation to Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson) and Dr. Charles, who must make a serious decision.
In the meantime, Dr. Rhodes (Colin Donnell) impresses Dr. Downey (guest star Gregg Henry) with his skills inside the operating room, but the pressure takes a toll. Elsewhere, Will (Nick Gehlfuss) receives news about the pending lawsuit, April (Yaya DaCosta) feels a spark in her social life and Sarah (Rachel DiPillo) tries to determine the cause of her recent anxiety.
Episode 1.14 of Chicago Med is titled “Hearts” and airs Tuesday at 9/8c on NBC.
