Warning: Spoilers Ahead
Give me a second so that I can pick my jaw up off the ground after watching last week’s episode. We all know how this will end. Norman will end up alone, and everyone else will either be dead outright or stuffed renditions of themselves in Norman’s basement. But, even with knowing all of this, I still was beyond creeped out to see Norman have that psychotic break and take on the persona of his mother, house robe and all. It was enough to send chills down my spine, I tell you. And then that look in Norman’s eyes as he stared at Caleb in the final scene? For most it was a touching scene of Norma and Caleb finally making amends, but in Norman’s eyes, Caleb had just become a rival for his mother’s affections. I think we can all start taking bets on how long Caleb will last before Norman decides to get rid of the guy and permanently.
In tomorrow’s episode, Norma returns home to a mess, and Norman agrees to get some help. In the meantime, Dylan learns some shocking news about Emma’s health (is it just me, or does Dylan and Emma seem like they would make a good couple?).
Episode 3.07 of Bates Motel is titled “The Last Supper” and airs Monday at 9/8c on A&E.
