With The Walking Dead’s companion series premiering in August, we finally got our first sneak peek last week. Yay! And, with the first official promotional and behind-the-scenes photos released this weekend, this series is finally starting to come together. As you probably can tell, I’m beyond thrilled.
To be set in Los Angeles, the new series will star Kim Dickens, Cliff Curtis, Maestro Harrell, Alycia Debnam Carey, Frank Dillane and will be executive-produced by Dave Erickson, as well as several members of the production team of The Walking Dead, including Robert Kirkman, Gale Ann Hurd, and Greg Nicotero.
The original sneak peek really didn’t provide much detail, and while the below photos give us a better glimpse of the show, I suspect we won’t get our first real look until San Diego Comic-Con which begins on July 8th. The Walking Dead and Fear The Walking Dead are both slated to have back-to-back panels starting at 12 p.m. on Friday, July 10th, where it is also expected that we’ll see the official trailers for the new season of each show.
I will be onsite covering SDCC this year for TV Geek Talk, and so, be sure to check back with the site for full coverage of both series as we get closer to the event.
Fear The Walking Dead premieres in August on AMC.
