Warning: General spoilers ahead
Just by the very nature of the series, time has always been of the essence on 24:Legacy, but going into tomorrow’s episode, it has definitely become much more critical. With the list of sleeper cells now in the hands of the terrorists, it now has become a race against the clock to track the location of Jadalla Bin-Khalid and his followers. That will prove to be much easier said than done.
At the end of last week’s episode, we learn that Nidalla (Sheila Vand) isn’t the leak that got the Rangers’ identities blown, and instead, is nothing more than a convenient escape goat for the real leak, Henry Donovan (Gerald McRaney). I’ve screened the episode, and I certainly don’t want to spoil this arc for everyone, but I will say that there doesn’t seem to be any big twist or smokescreen here — that is, as shocking as it may seen, Henry Donovan does, in fact, appear to be the real leak. What will shock you even more are his reasons for the betrayal. You know, this man has just gotten 4 soldiers killed and has also set in motion what may prove to be an apocalyptic terrorist attack if Jadalla Bin-Khalid activates those cells in time. With something of this magnitude, you would think someone threatened his or his family’s lives, but oh no. It’s very disturbing and disheartening to learn just how little it takes for someone to sell out their own country.
In the meantime, there’s that pesky problem of Drew surviving the attack by Mr. Harris, and Amira (Kathryn Prescott) being in that dreadful position of having to go to the hospital to finish the job. My guess is she’s never killed a person before, because she has to call her brother to get pointers on how to do it. However, the big question is will Amira actually go through with it? As her own brother said last week, the first kill is a big deal and not to mention, Amira and Drew had been in a relationship.
However, the big focus of the episode is on Carter (Corey Hawkins) and the CTU and what their next move will be. The problem is they know next to jack on Jadalla Bin-Khalid and his associates, and so, tracking them may prove to be difficult. Even so, a plan does emerge, but it’s very risky and it’s contingent on a person that really hasn’t proven to be reliable.
Episode “3:00 PM – 4:00 PM” of 24:Legacy airs Monday at 8/7c on FOX.
