Warning: Spoilers Ahead

Last week’s episode definitely looked like it was the end for our Cole. The guy was beaten, shot, and then, blown up.  Can’t get much worse than that. So, unless he got Cassie’s very cryptic warning and decides to do something differently that will spare his life, this may be the end.

Well, in Friday’s episode, this is the least of everyone’s worries. The core of Jones’ time machine is shot, and unless she can find a replacement, we’re not going to have to worry about Cole anymore because there will be no way to bring him back. So, Jones is forced to reach out to an old friend (or maybe he’s a foe?) for help who happens to be working on his own competing project to defeat this plague. Will this man give up his resources to help Dr. Jones thereby risking his own work? And, if not, what is Dr. Jones willing to do to get what she needs to save Cole — and effectively save the world?

Episode 1.08 of 12 Monkeys  is titled “Yesterday” and airs Friday at 9/8c on Syfy.
