Warning: Spoilers Ahead

I just screened Friday’s 12 Monkeys tonight, and all I have to say is hold on tight, folks, because this episode will knock you on your ass. Holy crap. The past couple of episodes have been very confusing for many of the viewers, myself included, and we’ve all been dying for some answers. Well, the dots do finally connect but man, the punchline of the series — the whole motivation for the plague — will most certainly blow you away.

I don’t want the spoil the episode for anyone because it is truly the best one of the series thus far. But, here are a few hints of what to expect:

• The identity and the source of the human remains from the Night Room will be revealed.
• That weasel doctor — the one that Leland Goines called his “rolling stone” — shows back up again, and it turns out he’s not as innocent as he looks.
• We learn the significance of the year 1987 that Leland Goines had mentioned in the Pilot.
• Aaron was good in the last episode, but he’s just fantastic in this one. Definitely one of my favorite characters now.
• The title of the episode “The Keys,” has a very special meaning and just might make you teary-eyed.
