Warning: Spoilers Ahead
Still reeling from last week’s shocker of an episode? It’s OK because I am too. There has been twist after twist in this series from day 1, but man, the last thing I had expected was for Ramse to become our new time traveler. Needless to say, I am super-excited to see where this unexpected turn of events takes us, not just from the mere surprise of it all but because it brought an arc to the forefront that I’ve been waiting for since the Pilot — the 1987 run-in that Cole had with Leland Goines.
Zelkjo Ivanek is one of my favorite actors, and so, naturally, I was very disappointed to see his Leland Goines character killed off so quickly in the Pilot. In fact, I was pretty bummed. However, with his mentioning that he had met Cole back in 1987, I was fairly certain we would see the guy again, and I was more than thrilled to see that it was finally going to happen.
However, the Cole/Leland Goines introduction isn’t all that happens in the episode. Just like the episode “The Red Forest,” “Shonin” answers a great deal of questions, and for the first time, some of the nonsensical things that have happened recently now become clear. I really don’t want to give too much away, but here are a few goodies that you can expect:
Episode 1.11 of 12 Monkeys is titled “Shonin” and airs Friday at 9/8c on Syfy.
