Warning: Spoilers Ahead
As the old saying goes, let’s save the best for last — and, that’s exactly what they did with the final episode of the #OneChicago crossover. While all 3 parts were fantastic in so many ways, the Chicago P.D. installment stood out in terms of the writing, the characters, the acting, basically everything. So, get ready for tomorrow night, everyone, because this one packs a big punch.
As we saw at the end of the last episode, the case of the 3 women who had overdosed on chemo was being treated as a criminal investigation, and the Chicago P.D. was now officially involved. Their investigation leads them to a Dr. Dean Reybold, who ironically has a connection to Sergeant Voight and from a very dark moment in his past. We all know how emotional Voight can get, but make no mistake, this case is about as personal as it gets with Jason Beghe giving one of his best performances in the series thus far. And, trust me, you’ll be about as emotional as he is, so be sure and get the tissues ready.
And, just like in tonight’s Chicago Med , Dr. Charles (Oliver Platt) gets to have more fun and continue playing Detective, working alongside Voight in a very odd partnership but one that, strangely enough, works. This time, Dr. Charles actually gets to go undercover, with the information that he garners becoming a key component in the investigation. Hey, Dr. Charles, I think you earned that gold star, and even Mannix would be proud.
The final episode of the #OneChicago crossover is titled “Now, I’m God,” and airs tomorrow night with Chicago P.D. at 10/9c on NBC.
