Warning: Spoilers Ahead
After last week’s absolutely hilarious episode featuring the shenanigans of our goofball couple, Alison and Donnie Hendrix, we’re back to the real world this week with Sarah and the gang facing the Castor clone threat once again. And, since we are heading for the season 3 finale, there are some major surprises and reveals. So hold onto your knickers everyone because it’s going to be wild ride tonight.
I’ve seen the episode, and I don’t want to spoil it for everybody because this is one that you really should watch live. But, here are some teasers of what you can expect. Yes, folks, it’s time to get excited.
1. Yes, the rumors are true — we will finally meet Krystal Goderich, the clone from the season premiere that almost was kidnapped by Rudy and Seth. I really like this character as she has no clue about the clones, and so she feels refreshing and just “normal.” She does play a major role in the episode, and I hope that’s a signal that we’ll see her again later.
2. Alison (and the real Alison this time!) shares another kiss with Jason. I know there are tons of Alison and Donnie shippers out there, but it does appear that the two are drifting apart with Jason Kellerman not helping things at all. But, hey, what do you expect? For a couple who can’t seem to have hot sex except on top of a freezer containing the body of a man that Donnie just killed, that doesn’t sound like a great foundation for a marriage. But, don’t feel too sorry for Donnie — at least not yet. He’s got a cute young thing that has her eye on him, and she thinks he’s strong and just plain hot. You will laugh when you find out who it is!
3. Our favorite nerd, Scott, has a big role in this episode, and we finally get to see the inside of his apartment. Of course, it is all geeky and nerdy, with a ton of action figures, a pretty souped-up computer system that he probably needs for his online gaming, and he has a cat! I swear I love this guy more and more each week, and I only hope he will get more screen time as his character is expanded.
4. The focus of most of the episode is on decoding the book. Rachel is happy to comply, but she wants something in return — a way out of Dyad. She doesn’t like the lowly position she is in, Delphine would probably kill her if she could, and except for decoding the book, what purpose would she serve anyways?
5. Cosima invites Shay for a tour of the lab, and in my opinion that is a bad, bad, bad idea. Shay seems way too touchy with the things in the lab, which really raised some red flags with me. People were so quick to judge Delphine a few weeks ago when it was revealed that she was spying on Cosima and Shay. Viewers (myself included!) thought she was going all “Fatal Atraction,” and dismissed her as a stalking looney tune. However, could it be that Delphine had cause to keep an eye on Shay? Well, her behavior in the lab sure made it start to look that way.
Episode 3.08 of Orphan Black is titled “Ruthless In Purpose, and Insidious In Method” and airs tonight at 9/8c on BBC America.
