Warning: Spoilers Ahead
Okay, folks, this week’s Helix is going to kick insane up to a whole new level. Yes, seriously, everyone. Even with our introduction to Anne’s private dungeon of horrors, it appears it’s going to get worse — a lot worse.
Several story lines will be converging this week. First, Winger learns there was never going to be an evacuation of the island, and instead, there’s going to be an extermination. So, the team has to come up with a plan very fast, otherwise there won’t be anyone left come next week.
Then, we have the drama surrounding Sister Amy and Sarah’s baby. Last week, Julia seemed adamant not to ever make Amy immortal, but in the final scene, she appeared to reverse her decision and offer up Sarah’s baby as a solution to her problem of getting Mother. Would Julia truly do something like that, or does she have a bigger plan? I talked with Kyra Zagorsky earlier this week, and so, be sure to check back for that interview as it has lots of goodies on what to expect regarding the baby storyline going into Friday’s episode.
And, then, finally we have the arc of Peter Farragut spiraling down a pit of madness alongside Anne. Peter, Peter, Peter. Last week’s baby dungeon was bad enough, but man, this guy has managed to drop even farther, edging closer and closer to being a psychopath and complete monster. Check out the below exclusive video clip and see for yourself. Has Peter become a cold murderer, or is he under the control of Anne? And the bigger question is whether Peter has crossed the point of no return and become completely unredeemable.
Episode 2.11 of Helix is titled “Plan B” and airs Friday at 10/9c on Syfy.
