Warning: Spoilers Ahead

Last week’s episode actually ended on a positive note, with Dr. Railly revealing that she had, in fact, found the Night Room. So, if all goes well, Cole will make one final trip back in time in Friday’s episode, destroy what’s in the Night Room, and this will all be over, right? Well, as with everything in this show, that turns out to not be so easy.

I have seen the episode, and without giving too much away, here are some teasers on what you can expect:

• Yes, Dr. Railly and Cole are successful in finding the Night Room, but so is Pallid Man, and the meeting, of course, doesn’t go very well. There is a scene where Pallid Man tortures Cole that absolutely made my skin crawl. Trust me, you’ll never look at bamboo sticks the same way ever again.
• We finally get some of the back story of Dr. Jones. Ramse never seemed to like her, and it turns out his instincts may have been right on target.
• We do get to see what is inside the vault of the Night Room, and it is not what is expected at all. It will totally creep you out and was one of the most shocking parts of the episode.
• 2 of Cole’s big lies come out in the open, with one getting a positive response, and the other, not so much.
• The episode ends with a big punch — actually a double punch. A major cliffhanger, and trust me when I say you will be royally pissed that you have to wait an entire week to see what’s next.

Episode 1.05 of 12 Monkeys  is titled “The Night Room” and airs Friday at 9/8c on Syfy.
