In the season 3 finale of Person of Interest, Team Finch had to take drastic measures to escape Samaritan’s prying eyes, and this included giving up the group’s official “batcave,” an old, abandoned NYC library. Initially, I was pretty bummed because the library was part of the series’ landscape since day 1, something the fans just expected to see every week when they tuned in to watch the show.
However, when Finch stumbled on the Third Rail subway station and decided to make it the team’s new headquarters, I loved it immediately and couldn’t have been more thrilled. So very cool. I visited the Person of Interest set last month while they were filming the season 4 penultimate episode, but on the day I was there, they weren’t filming any scenes on the subway set. Fortunately for us, series stars Michael Emerson and Amy Acker, as well as production designer Rick Butler and set decorator Alyssa Winters, put together a video tour of this fantastic set, giving fans an up-close-and-personal view of what Team Machine now calls home.
Also be sure to tune in to Tuesday’s POI, which will feature Taraji P. Henson’s return as Detective Carter in a series of flashbacks. We will be running an Advance Review, and so, be sure to check back next week for what you can expect in this pivotal episode.
Person of Interest airs on Tuesdays at 10/9c on CBS.
