You know, I can remember attending Walker Stalker Con Atlanta last year, and with Syfy’s Z Nation  being a new, freshman drama, unfortunately there wasn’t a lot of interest. The Walking Dead ruled the zombie world, and very few people had heard of or watched this quirky new series that put an entirely new spin on the overdone genre.

Well, this year — completely different story. When I strolled by series star, Keith Allan’s, booth on Sunday afternoon, I was pleasantly surprised to see the area packed. Everybody was talking about the show, and everyone wanted to chat with and get a picture with “The Murphy.” It may have taken over a year, but I am so happy the series has finally caught on and even happier that fans are starting to see what a gem Keith Allan and the Murphy character truly are. Yay.

Once the crowd died down, Keith was nice enough to take a timeout and chat with me about the shocking “brains” reveal in last Friday’s episode, being a zombie baby Daddy, and what we may expect going into the 2nd half of the season. Check out what he had to say:

Also be sure to tune in to Z Nation this Friday because we’ve got a good episode coming up. This eppy will feature the group travelling through Rozwell, New Mexico and will guest-star Anthony Michael Hall(“The Dead Zone”) and Missi Pyle(“Cleaners”). Pyle plays Bernadette, a distracted young woman who shows the team a long-forgotten Air Force base to find the E.T.Zs. And, Jones plays a New Mexico local named Scully who does not share Bernadette’s affinity for the otherworldly. He does, however, have a secret that will put Murphy and the mission in peril.
