Today’s run of fantastic panels at Walker Stalker Con Atlanta continued with another great one, The Grove panel featuring Melissa McBride (Carol Peletier), Chad Coleman (Tyreese Goldstein), and Brighton Sharbino (Lizzie Samuels).  Given the critical acclaim and how memorable the season four episode was, it was also a very popular panel.

Just a few highlights:

• Brighton said that she has now been pegged as a villain, and just recently while at Chicago Comic-Con a fan walked up to her and said, “I hate you!”  But it really didn’t bother her because if the fans are getting that rattled by her portrayal of Lizzie, that just means she’s doing her job.
• Melissa said that she really thought Carol would get killed off in season 1, but she fought very hard for the character. Well, apparently the writers and producers heard her loud and clear because besides “The Grove,” Carol had another big episode in last Sunday’s premiere, one that fans are going to remember for a long time.
• Chad said that Tyreese truly has forgiven Carol.  We should recall that when Tyreese had to leave to go find supplies in season 4 and Sasha was sick, he asked Carol to look in on her.  That is because he really trusts Carol, and while her killing Karen may have given him cause for hesitation, Chad thinks he still does.
• Melissa said that even if the apocalypse had not happened, she really thinks Carol would have realized her strength anyways.

The Walking Dead  airs on Sundays at 9/8c on AMC.
