Continuing with the weekend of great Walking Dead panels at Walker Stalker Con Atlanta 2014, here we have the ‘Best Pals’ panel featuring Chandler Riggs (Carl Grimes) and Madison Lintz (yes, folks, that’s Sophia all grown up!).  It’s been almost three seasons since the heartbreaking scene of Sophia Peletier coming out of that barn, but what you may have forgotten is how close Carl and Sophia were becoming before it all happened.

And, in fact, if you are also a fan of the comics you’ll know that in the comic book series, Sophia never died, and a romantic relationship blooms between the two.  On Saturday afternoon at this super-fun panel, Riggs and Lintz discussed their roles and how everything could have been different if Sophia had lived.

BTW, Riggs also commented that he does have a favorite scene but it’s a scene in season 5 that comes much later.  I wonder what scene he is referring to — does Carl get injured, does he have to kill someone?  Ah, the suspense is killing me!

The Walking Dead  airs on Sundays at 9/8c on AMC.
