The titles and synopsis for the final three episodes of season 6 of The Walking Dead have reportedly surfaced online. While these haven’t been confirmed as of yet, they don’t sound too unreasonable especially if you have read the comics.
6×14 – Cross
Heath and Tara are still out on their supply run. Instead of finding goods for Alexandria, they find trouble.
6×15 – The Calm Before
Rick’s group confront a horrible situation they may not be able to overcome.
6×16 – Something to Fear
In the aftermath of a tragic blow, Eugene falls captured by Dwight, a member of the Saviors, whom are hell bent on getting even with Alexandria, Negan teaches Rick and co a brutal lesson, which shows that Rick and co finally have something to fear.
First, if you’re a comic-book reader, the 6.14 title “Cross” might sound off some alarm bells as a certain major character dies by being shot with a cross-bow in the eye. If this synopsis is correct, it appears the death may actually play out but with either Tara or Heath getting the arrow instead.
And, the title of the finale “Something To Fear” is pretty significant since this is the same title as the arc in the comics where Negan is introduced and where the famous Lucille death occurs. This is also on par with other season 6 episodes having the same titles as their corresponding arcs in the comics, including the mid-season premiere “No Way Out.”
The Walking Dead airs on Sundays with the season 6 finale scheduled for April 3rd at 9/8c on AMC.
