It had been rumored that production for season 3 of The Strain would begin this week, but it was made official this afternoon by series star Kevin Durand.
Below is Durand’s post on Instagram, which he also cross-posted on Twitter. The hair is dyed, and it looks like our Vasily Fet is ready to get back to the business of hunting munchers! Yay! A perfect Thanksgiving surprise.
Season 2 ended with the tragic death of Nora Martinez (Mia Maestro), with the rest of the team being hunted by the Ancients and the Master in their quest for the Occido Lumen. Setrakian may have the Lumen… for now, but I doubt he’ll be able to hold onto it for long without a fight.
The Strain will return for a 10-episode season 3 in the summer of 2016.
