A show of hands. How many just finished watching the first season of Syfy’s The Expanse this past week and absolutely loved it. I know I did and am already anticipating the return of the series for season 2 later this year. Of all the characters on the show, two stood out in particular for me and made watching 10 times more enjoyable — Detective Miller (Thomas Jane) and the Rocinante’s pilot, Alex Kamal, portrayed by the immensely talented Cas Anvar.
While we will have to wait until late 2016/early 2017 to see what is next for Kamal and the rest of the Roci’s ragtag crew, we will be gifted with Cas Anvar’s presence on the small screen this summer in a guest role on FX’s The Strain. Today, Anvar tweeted the following, confirming his casting for a 3-episode arc:
It is unknown what role Anvar will be playing, but it could be someone on Quinlan’s sun-hunting team or perhaps another one of Palmer’s shady cohorts. One thing is for sure, considering the talent we have here, I seriously doubt the role is of a no-name strigoi.
The Strain returns for Season 3 in the summer of 2016.
